Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Sarnia, Ontario.
What brought you to Toronto?
After attending university in Hamilton, I moved to Seoul, South Korea for a year to teach English. When it was time to move back to Canada, I knew that Toronto was where I wanted to live..
What do you do for a living?
I work for Aveda Canada.
How did you get started?
I love beauty products and hair, so I applied for a job when I moved back to Toronto at Aveda.
What’s your favourite thing about your neighbourhood?
I like Parkdale because it’s a bit more affordable than other neighbourhoods, but still close to most of the places I like to go.
What’s the last treasure you found?
When I was in New York this past summer I bought an old issue of Index magazine at V Files with Gaby Hoffman on the cover – I love her!
If you were going to eat your last meal in Toronto, where and what would you eat?
Ahh – so hard! I really like the club sandwich at The Gabardine. With a kir royale.
If you could have a sleepover with anyone who has ever existed, who would it be?
I recently watched the Diana Vreeland documentary, so right now it would be her.
If your life was a TV show, what would be the theme song?
Any song by Robyn would do just fine.
What does Toronto need that it doesn’t have now?
Concept stores like Creatures of Comfort, Opening Ceremony, Merci, etc. I guess Toronto doesn’t *need* these, but I would like them.
