Where did you grow up?
East L.A. / Whittier, CA
Where do you live now?
Catskills / Mt. Tremper, NY
When did you first come to the Catskills? Why?
A common story: Ten years ago my Ex and I visited friends up here and fell in love with it. We bought a weekend house that became a full time home. This cycle continues with so many friends.
What do you do for a living?
I left the Catskills two years ago to wander a bit. I was back in L.A. for the first year. For the last year I was off and on in Tulsa, OK. I tour managed BRONCHO who’s based there. Something clicked inside me in November and I moved back to NY 5 days later.
How did you get started?
I’ve done all sorts of things in my life, but now that I’m back in the Catskills I want to get involved in hospitality. Creating a guest experience is what I love most in everything I do.
What’s your favorite place in the Catskills?
In the kitchen and at the table sharing a meal with friends. Also, lying out in the sun all summer.
What’s the last treasure you found?
So many pretty brass things I didn’t buy at estate sales in Tulsa. Old money is fabulous.
If you were going to eat your last meal in the Catskills, where and what would you eat? I’d have brunch at Sweet Sue’s. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and that place holds so many delicious memories with friends.
If you could have a sleepover with anyone who has ever existed, who would it be? Um, James Gandolfini, but only if we could cuddle… Ha! He was a sweet, beautiful and talented man.
If your life was a TV show, what would be the theme song?
The melancholy teen in me would want to say How Soon Is Now?, but Charmed and Richard Butler ruined any chance of that.
If you could have one perfect day in the Catskills, what would you do?
I’ve had so many perfect days in the Catskills. They always include good peeps, food, beverage and a raging fire. Indoors in winter and outdoors in spring/summer/fall.
