Where did you grow up?
Toronto, and Oakville, and then moved to farm.
What brought you to Toronto?
Love and work.
What do you do for a living?
Design and write.
How did you get started?
In a really unguarded moment, under a bridge when Venus was transiting the sun.
What’s your favourite thing about your neighbourhood?
The Common. It’s our headquarters. Its communal and spiritual, though all of this is unspoken. We also love that the woman pulling our shot is the lead singer of Vag Halen.
What’s the last treasure you found?
Red necklaces made from thread we found in Chinatown from a woman who had a scar on her neck and metal teeth.
If you were going to eat your last meal in Toronto, where and what would you eat?
Cuban lunch at Delux. With their handmade donuts in chantilly cream for dessert.
If you could have a sleepover with anyone who has ever existed, who would it be?
Tolstoy or Nina Simone.
If your life was a TV show, what would be the theme song?
What does Toronto need that it doesn’t have now?
